Today had the same 18 – 30 mph head wind as yesterday, with the addition of gray sky most of the day, and cold rain for over two hours.
The good was that the gray sky made for comfortable riding, and the rain came after I had eaten and rested, and I was able to ride through it, if you can call 5 – 6 mph riding.
Also, I now have a more well rounded touring experience. 🙂
Distance, time and speed were almost identical to yesterday, which means that when I got to Velma I was pretty well done in after almost eight hours of riding, and I have another 20 miles to Minot in the morning.
There are three sunny pictures from early in the morning, and one picture of the dark cloud that brought rain in the afternoon.
Then a few sunny shots around Velma, before it poured again. I had my tent up in the park, and was eating a nice steak (at last) so now I can go back out into the sun.
The pictures are sort of a fake take on the day. If you want the real experience you can step into a cold shower, step out to put on some rain gear, and then step back in for a couple of hours while running on the spot. Yup, that ought to do it.
