Rolf wrote a Bemidji letter a few days ago, but I still have not received it. When I do, I’ll put it into the blog with the date it was written, so scroll back. 🙂
I got this email from him last night:
My phone says I don’t have a data connection and will not send email. It is sitting in my outbox. I also can’t get the updated weather.
I felt tired and sick from the flu yesterday and stayed in Bemidji for 3 days. Rode to Itasca today and touched the headwaters of the river. It rained on and off after I got here, so I was glad to find they have a hostel, and am staying here tonight.
I think the flu is getting wiped out slowly, and I should be OK to continue to Mahnomen or Ada tomorrow.
I hope the phone will start sending data again soon. Bemidji is big enough, you would have thought there should be no problem, but you never know what is going on, since it downloads email fine.
editor note: Rolf’s phone is working again. I just added the next blog entry from him. “Bemidji in the rain” – from June 29. See below.
