Hwy 2 and Lake Michigan
Today was a moderate headwind, and sunny. Same scenery.
I walk a few minutes every half hour, and zone out when riding. New saddle is comfortable so I can get into a calm state of mind where I just roll along knowing the day will pass and I will get somewhere when it’s done. I do look at the day’s estimated miles and figure 9 mph, and then break that down into short 30 minute segments, rather than thinking of the whole thing.

I get enough groceries once each day so that I will never be stuck, whatever happens. Food makes the ride possible. Fuel. Cherries are in season now, from California.

Hwy 2—There’s a lot of this road to ride.
Indian Lake shows why I like camping. At this time of year there is lots of room, and I had a whole row of sites to myself, like a private campsite. I ask the park staff for a site they think would be good for a tent, and they have given me a nice site every time.

At Indian Lake, I even had power and a lawn-like spot, so I ran the CPAP cord to the plug.
