Hill to start the day, south of Ludington
To get to the views of the water I had to walk a hill first thing out of Ludington.
Came across a power plant that pumps water at night to a huge reservoir on a hill behind this picture.

Power plant
Pumping uses cheap night time power. In the day, they use the water to make and sell expensive daytime electricity.

Lakeshore Drive again
After a nice ride on Lakeshore Drive, I stopped in Pentwater to eat near the park.

Lovely place, with what else? Snug Harbor.

A large part of the day was spent on the Hart-Montague Trail.

Hart-Montague Trail
There’s always something interesting along the way, and often there are benches and toilets.

Back on the road after 23 miles, about three hours, on the trail, there were lake views.

Duck Lake State Park on Lake Michigan
I ended up camping in Muskegon State Park, a nice quiet place with a huge beach. By then overcast was back and the humidity was coming up.
