Today we had rain for a couple of hours, which gave us a chance to eat and talk to locals in a roadside cafe.
Then we rode an hour in light drizzle without rain gear, as recommended by Dan in Memphis. Rain is warm, and wet shirt felt the same as sweaty shirt on other days. When the sun broke through, it felt like a sauna after you throw water on the rocks.
After 52 miles we camped in Columbus State Park with a great view of the Mississippi from the bluffs.
