Today was supposed to be a rest day but Egg Harbor turned out to be a 48 mile roundtrip, although on an empty bike and a quiet back road.

Home on Green Bay
This is vacation country, and I got the impression you want money to enjoy yourself here. Signs proclaimed the usual purveyors of upscale goods—fine art, jewelry, designer clothes, potters, wineries, bakery and coffee shop. I bought lunch of liver pate, yogurt, apricots and beef sticks in the market—a combo deli, bakery, butcher shop with goods to rival any carriage trade store anywhere.

So, yes I could really get into the gentile ambience of the peninsula.
I ate in the park, soaked up the sun, talked to one of the people reading there, and had an excellent ride back on smooth pavement with a tailwind.
Send money and I will stay longer. I promise to keep writing. 🙂
